CLAMPS ARE DIFFERENT ... COMPARE CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING
Hose Clamps come in many different sizes, strengths and metal quality grades, all costing different amounts to manufacture and usually selling at proportionately different prices. Sometimes the difference is visible. Other times not. The difference in band width (and sealing area) between 7/16", 1 /2" and 9/16" band type clamps is obvious. Other differences may be less visible such as smaller softer screws, cheap rust prone metal, shoddy construction, etc.
Triple-On Clamps (except for miniatures) have wide width 9/16" bands. They are made of high quality, flexible stainless steel and have all the modern manufacturing features such as transverse cut gear tracks and bands mechanically interlocked into the housing. Their design, construction and Triple-On 5/16" size screw conform to stringent SAE and other quality standards.
The Wathen Company carries a wide and varied selection of hose clamps. Everything from standard service clamps with a ½" inch band with carbon clear chromate screw and housing through SS Series clamps with a 5/8" 301 stainless steel band and 2 piece housing with a 5/16" hexagon 300 stainless steel screw.
